A federal high court sitting in Abuja, presided over by has on Monday, 9th January, 2023 sacked Barr Ifeanyi Ararume jr as the Labour Party senatorial Candidate for Imo North in the 2023 general elections.

Delivering the judgement, Justice F M Aminu in Suit number FHC/ABJ/1128/2022, affirmed Dr Nwachukwu Okorondu as authentic labour party candidate for okigwe zone for the saturday february 25th , 2023 election.

The Court in it’s landmark judgement, described the Purported Substitution of Dr Nwachukwu Okorondu as null and void, ultra vires, inconsequential and of no effect.

The court further ordered the independent national electoral commission (INEC) to immediately restore Dr. Okorondu on the ballot.
